This has been a little while coming, but a good thing can never be rushed.
Over the last twelve months we have had many requests for salted caramel ice cream, from both consumers and chefs alike. We thought it was a great flavour to really tickle the taste buds, and bang on trend – and it has taken some time to get it just right!
We tried many different types of flavouring to obtain the right balance of the salt cutting through the sweet caramel, whilst maintaining the beautifully smooth texture of our ice cream. We were originally keen to get a crunch into the mix, which is often popular these days, but this didn't quite float our boat on this occasion. Instead we have gone for a creamy caramel ice cream, hand rippled with a salted caramel sauce.
We hope you will agree – it's totally delicious.
